Who am I?

I am an award-winning fully qualified languages teacher, specialising in French and German but now also offering Spanish at a beginners level. I come with a passion for getting people talking in a foreign language! I am friendly, warm and approachable, and passionate about the power to communicate that a foreign language gives you. I have a love of teaching and spending time helping people learn, seeing their skills and confidence grow on their journey to becoming fluent.

Why me?

I recently won Prestige Awards Central England Language School of the Year! Excellent communication skills are my thing and I aim to pass these on to you! I have thorough knowledge of current qualification requirements (e.g. AQA, Edexcel, WJEC) and can help you to achieve your potential in exams. We can work together to iron out any weaknesses in your language skills be it grammar, comprehension or the spoken language. Alternatively, if you simply want to improve your oral skills I can happily do this with you. 

Experience

  • Ten years’ experience in tutoring (online and face to face)
  • 16 years of and current practitioner in classroom teaching at secondary level including A Level
  • Life experience in France and Germany
    I spent six months living in the centre of Paris, France, overlooking the Notre Dame Cathedral and attending the Sorbonne (University of Paris), and six months living in Leipzig (a University Town one hour south of Berlin, Germany), where I shared an apartment with three German girls. The year was spent perfecting my linguistic skills and delving deeper into the respective cultures.

German Language Tutor

Ich bin ein voll qualifizierter Fremdsprachlehrerin und unterrichte Teilzeit in einer Grundschule. Ich habe auch 5 Jahre Unterrichtserfahrung in Französisch und Deutsch für Schüler im Alter von 11 bis 18 Jahren. Ich kann Anfänger bis zum Abitur Standard unterrichten. Hervorragende Kommunikationsfähigkeiten sind mein Ding und ich möchte diese an Sie weitergeben! Ich kenne die aktuellen Qualifikationsanforderungen genau und kann Ihnen helfen, Ihr Potenzial in Prüfungen auszuschöpfen. Wir können zusammenarbeiten, um Schwachstellen in Ihren Sprachkenntnissen auszubügeln, sei es Grammatik, Verständnis oder die gesprochene Sprache. Wenn Sie einfach Ihre mündlichen Fähigkeiten verbessern möchten, kann ich dies auch gerne mit Ihnen tun. Jede Sitzung wird individuell auf Ihre Bedürfnisse zugeschnitten und ich bin zu verschiedenen Zeiten für Sie da. Ich benutze meine Sprachen sehr gerne und bin begeistert von der Fähigkeit zu kommunizieren, die eine Fremdsprache Ihnen bietet. Ich liebe es zu unterrichten und Zeit damit zu verbringen, Menschen beim Lernen zu helfen.

French Language Tutor

Je suis professeur des langues étrangères, pleinement qualifié. J’ai également cinq ans d’expérience d’enseignement en français et en allemand aux élèves âgés de 11 à 18 ans. Je peux enseigner aux débutants jusqu’au niveau Bacalaureat. Des compétences en communication excellentes sont mon truc et j’ai l’intention de vous les transmettre! J’ai une connaissance approfondie des exigences de qualification actuelles et je peux vous aider à réaliser votre potentiel aux examens. Nous pouvons travailler ensemble pour aplanir les faiblesses de vos compétences linguistiques, que ce soit la grammaire, la compréhension ou la langue parlée. Alternativement, si vous voulez simplement améliorer vos compétences orales, je peux le faire avec vous. Chaque session sera adaptée individuellement à vos besoins et je suis disponible à une variété d’heures pour vous convenir. J’aime vraiment utiliser mes langues et je suis passionné par le pouvoir de communiquer qu’une langue étrangère vous donne. J’aime enseigner et passer du temps à aider les gens à apprendre.
